Bunnahabhain 19 Year Old 2001 Marsala Cask Finish – Fis le 2021 Whisky | 700ML Tasting Notes
Nose: “Sweet wine notes. Summer fruits and juicy cherries. Light vanilla and milk chocolate. With time also mild notes of leather, dusty oak and rich vanilla.”
Palate: “Very rich and full bodied. Again rich, deep, sweet wine notes.”
Finish: “Medium to long finish. Remains dry-ish all the way. Nutty and fruity. Red berries till – again the cherries. The leather from the nose is also back. Unsalted peanuts, white pepper and the faintest hint of herbs in the end.”
Distillery Information
First founded in 1881, Bunnahabhain relied upon the sea trade. Armed only with a small village, a pier and lots of whisky making know-how, our forefathers received supplies by boat and sent adventuring seafarers back to the mainland with casks full of whisky.
