Nose: Hearty helpings of sherry and peat, with poached stone fruits, cakey spice, and waves of salty, coastal smoke.

Palate: Dark chocolate with a touch of rock salt, juicy sultanas, jammy berries, and smoked almonds.

Finish: Drying smoke lingers, with juicy roasted barley, dried fruits, candied nuts, and woody spice.

Distillery Information

First founded in 1881, Bunnahabhain relied upon the sea trade. Armed only with a small village, a pier and lots of whisky making know-how, our forefathers received supplies by boat and sent adventuring seafarers back to the mainland with casks full of whisky.
