Traverse City Whiskey Co. Sherry Barrel Finish Tasting Notes
Nose: Heavily sherry-influenced and sweet. Theres just a ton of big fat stewed fruits and punchy wine on the nose.
Palate: Very sweet and rich. Dark red fruits, berries, super jammy notes are playing front and center.
Finish: A medium finish that picks up where the faint spice left off with more sweet fruits and heavy sherry notes leaving no question that this was certainly a sherry-finished whiskey.

So when Chris discovered his great-grandfathers old patents for distilling whiskey on the familys cherry farm, it created a spark among three friends to build something close to their hearts a small batch whiskey company that bottled not only the best whiskey around, but also the friendly, adventurous spirit of Up North Michigan. What began as a humble idea in 2011 has grown beyond our wildest dreams, but we are still guided by the values that got us started: follow your passion, support your friends and neighbors, and do things with a quality youd be proud to show your family or dont do them at all.
