“Founded in 1826 by James Henderson the Pulteney Distillery was named after Sir William Pulteney. The part of Wick that the distillery is situated in to that time was a separate little town called Pulteneytown. The barley to that time was transported to Wick by ship and that was the way the Whisky barrels left it.”
