It was aged in a single refill sherry hogshead cask and has an abv of 56.2%. This whisky was made with Bere Barley, a variety of barley that has been grown on the Orkney Islands since the Iron Age. It has a light and delicate nose of green apples, apricots and lemon zest, followed by a full-bodied palate of sweet honey, caramel and nutty malt. The finish is long and persistent, with lingering hints of oak and spice.
