Description
Red Wine: 1995 | Chateau Smith Haut Lafitte | Pessac Leognan
“Intensely pigmented, medium ruby-red. High-toned dark fruit and raspberry aromas with coffee, tobacco notes. The fruit on the palate initially has a lifted & lively redcurrant nature thanks to good acidity, but is closed up by cedary oak & tobacco leaf.”

Producer Information
The history of Chteau Smith Haut Lafitte dates back to 1365, when the noble house of Bosq had chosen this terroir to exploit a vineyard. Then in the eighteenth century the Scotsman George Smith bought the estate, gave him his name, built the Chartreuse and exported to England on his ships, the already famous barrels.
