Producer Information
Alphonse Gros, born in the Hautes-Ctes village of Chaux in 1804, moved to Vosne-Romane in 1830. His son was already offering domaine-bottled wines in the middle of the 19th century, while the next two generations, Jules and Louis, continued to expand the business. Louis had four children, Jean, Franois, Gustave and Colette. Gustave and Colette kept their share together as Domaine Gros Frre & Soeur, Franois eventually passed on to his daughter Anne Gros. The remainder of the holdings remained with Jean Gros, until his official retirement in 1995 when the domaine was split between the three children, Michel, Bernard and Anne-Franoise, who has taken her share with her to Pommard where she is married to Franois Parent.
