Wild Turkey Cheesy Gold Foil 12 Year Old 1988-1992 Straight Bourbon Whisky Tasting Notes
Nose: Rich vanilla, molasses, antique leather, floral perfume, musty/funky oak, toasted marshmallow, pipe tobacco, ripe citrus.
Palate: Classic vanilla syrup, cinnamon, pepper, leather, fresh-baked sugar cookie, rich molasses, sweet cream icing, floral perfume, herbal spice, antique musty oak.
Finish: Beautifully long & full of flavor spicy vanilla, sweet musk, fading herbal/floral-laced oak.
Distillery Information
The Wild Turkey distillery, originally known as Boulevard, was built in 1869 in Tyrone, Kentucky. The name was not Wild Turkey until 1941 when some, shared on a hunting trip, was referred to as “some of that wild turkey whiskey.”
