DOUBLE-LIE is distilled with double the lees usually contained in the toasted wine. This cognac contains 200 mg/L of esters. That is three times more than the rate obtained with classic distillation on lees. It is the Maillard reaction between the lees and the copper of the still during the cooking of the toasted wine which allows this exceptional extraction of esters. This unique technique gives DOUBLE-LIE an incomparable aromatic intensity.

Distillery Information
Frdric and David inherited a small vineyard from their grandfather and started producing their own Cognac using traditional and artisanal methods. After years of perfecting their craft, they founded Bourgoin with a focus on quality, authenticity, and respect for the terroir.
