Producer Information
Maison J. Thorin was founded by Jean Thorin in 1843 , from a family whose ancestors saw the birth of the vines and shaped the vineyard that we know today. The house has grown over the years, in France and abroad, notably with the opening of the Paris-Marseille railway and growing exports. Maison J. Thorin then became one of the largest Maisons in Beaujolais with nearly 135 employees and a presence in many countries around the world. With the benefit of 180 years of traditional family experience in Beaujolais, Maison J. Thorin has acquired real know-how , and excellent knowledge of what constitutes the diversity of this unique vineyard. Notably the diversity of soils, forming a true mosaic, through which the same grape variety has been able to express wines rich with different characters.
