Red Wine: 1985 | Chateau Romefort | Haut-Medoc
Medium to deep ruby red. Youthful aromas of plum, red berries, fresh herbs and discreet oak. The palate is youthful and restrained, still with an extracted tannic bite, fresh red currant and sour cherry with high acidity, mild oak and rather long but restrained finish.

Producer Information
In the 19th century Chateau Romefort was created with agricultural land dedicated to pasture and the cultivation of vines and orchards. In the 20th century, the vineyard plots and the name of the wine Chateau Romefort were attached to Chateau Lamothe de Bergeron, and the wine was classified as a Cru Bourgeois. Today Chateau Lamothe-Bergeron is bringing the wine and its history back to life by reviving the Chateau Romefort brand. The original plots of land have been identified in the south of the village of Cussac-Fort-Medoc and the 18 hectares are dedicated to the production of this wine.
