The old building Casale, which names the surrounding area, was at one time a convent whose friars enjoyed the strategic location and the richness of the land. The same land which is now cultivates the finest vines and olive trees is rich in minerals, Pliocenic fossil life, sand and clay, typical of the area of Siena, thanks to which water is naturally stored in the underground. The olive grove from which the production of Extravigin Olive Oil Laudemio is harvested, is on the hillside of the property in the optimal location facing South /South West surrounded by the Casalee vineyards. After the devastating freeze in 1985, which almost totally destroyed the production of Olive oil, a new blend of olive trees were planted in the local varieties of Moraiolo, Leccino, Frantioano, and Impollinatore. Over the last decade the property has expanded by acquiring new adjoining land, increasing also the surface of the olive grove, bringing the total number of olive trees to about 2.200 plants.
