Producer Information
Created in 1952 by Daniel Maillard, whose family has been winegrowers in Burgundy since 1766, Domaine Maillard today covers 19 hectares, and produces famous wines such as Corton, Aloxe Corton, Pommard, Beaune, Ladoix, Chorey les Beaune , Meursault, Volnay His two sons, Alain and Pascal ensure the continuity of the estate, respecting the traditions of vine growing and wine aging. Our vinification remains traditional, the alcoholic fermentation takes place at a controlled temperature and the vinification lasts 12 to 20 days – depending on the vintages – to obtain wines with beautiful substance and lovely fruit. Aging takes place in oak barrels, including around 25 to 80% new barrels, depending on the year and the appellations. After aging for 12 to 15 months, the wines are bottled. (Generally without filtration, so as to keep all the body and fruit for excellent aging)
