Blair Athol 27 Year Old 1975 Rare Malts Single Malt Scotch Whisky | 700ML Tasting Notes
Nose: Citric notes with oily nuttiness developing, hazelnut and almond with allspice and creamy chocolate.
Palate: Crystallized ginger and oranges, steeped in honey.
Finish: The finish is quite long, a nice smokiness develops with oak and a light acidity
Distillery Information
Blair Athol was founded in 1798 by John Stewart and Robert Robertson. The location at the southern end of Pitlochry in the Highlands was chosen because of its proximity to the Allt-Dour burn. As a result, the original name of the distillery was Aldour.
