Octomore 6 Year Old Batch #3 That Boutique-y Whisky Company Single Malt Scotch Whisky | 500ML Tasting Notes

Nose: Dark notes of black cherry and cocoa bring suggestions of Black Forest gateaux, with sooty smoke, anise, and salted caramel.

Palate: Juicy plums and plump sultanas welcome the way for hefty helpings of dense peat smoke and oily pipe tobacco.

Finish: Salted liquorice, hearty smoke, and fiery cracked black pepper linger.

Distillery Information

Octomore was created by legendary Master Distiller Jim McEwan and then owner of Bruichladdich, Mark Reynier. The name pays homage to Octomore Farm, which ran a distillery from 1816 until 1852, which is located near the village of Port Charlotte close to the distillery.
