The palate features a mild bouquet of blackberry and licorice fruit. This is a big wine that has a rich and lingering finish, with smoky accents of vanilla and oak.

                        Pascual Toso is one of the oldest wineries in Argentina, founded in Mendoza in 1890 by Italian immigrant Pascual Toso. It produces a range of wines from Malbec and Cabernet Sauvignon, ranging from prestigious, single-vineyard blends to easy-drinking table wines. The estate is located in Las Barrancas estate in Maipu. It extends for over 400 hectares (1000 acres) of stony soils at an altitude of 2500 feet (750m) above sea level. The warm days and cold nights that this terroir delivers slows ripening and grapes are therefore able to develop rich varietal character while still retaining acidity. Pascual Toso’s top wine is Magdelena, a Malbec-dominant wine made by renowned American winemaker Paul Hobbs. The winery produces a range of other wines, from the single-vineyard Pedregal and Alta wines, to the Estate and Selected Vines ranges. Along with Malbec and Cabernet Sauvignon, the Syrah, Chardonnay, Sauvignon Blanc and Torrontes grape varieties are also included in the portfolio. In the winery, both French and American oak are used for barrel-aging with select wines also aging in bottle prior to release.
