Penderyn Legend Floral & Fruity Welsh Whisky | 700ML Tasting Notes
Nose: Orchard fruit, coffee fudge, orange peel, dried herbs, and nutmeg.
Palate: Raisins, malty biscuits, stem ginger, custard, pears, and honey.
Finish: Madeira cake and baking spice.
Distillery Information
Penderyn is a Welsh distillery and whisky brand, known for its award-winning single malt whiskies. The Penderyn distillery is located in the Brecon Beacons National Park, in the historic village of Penderyn. Penderyn single malt whisky is made using the traditional pot still method, and is matured in ex-bourbon barrels. Penderyn also produces a peated single malt whisky, which is matured in ex-bourbon barrels and finished in Islay peated whisky barrels. Penderyn has won numerous awards for its whiskies, including Gold medals at the International Wine and Spirits Competition, and the World Whisky Awards. There is some evidence that the Welsh practised distillation as early as the fourth century.
