Producer Information

Petaluma is a South Australian wine label established in 1976 by Brian Croser. The range includes wines from individual vineyards from the Coonawarra, the Clare Valley and the Adelaide Hills. In the Adelaide Hills, Petaluma helped pioneer the Piccadilly Valley wine region and is well known for heightening the status of Evans Vineyard in Coonawarra. It is perhaps best known for its Langton-classified Riesling from Hanlin Hill Vineyard in Clare Valley and classified Cabernet Sauvignon-Merlot blend from Evans Vineyard. Petaluma produces a range of traditional method sparkling wines under the label Croser, from Chardonnay and Pinot Noir grown in Piccadilly Valley. In 2015 the estate opened a new cellar door and winery in the Adelaide Hills, set on 30 hectares (74 acres) of land overlooking Mount Lofty. In 2021, the Petaluma winery facilities were sold to the Mclaren Vale-based bottling company Torresan Estate. The giant Accolade Wines remains the owner if the brand, and now makes the wines at other facilities within its group.
