Bruichladdich bottled this distillery exclusive for its Fis le 2018 open day on 27 May under its peated Port Charlotte brand. It’s a marriage of the last five casks filled during the first year of Bruichladdich’s Port Charlotte production in 2001, hence the name ‘The Last of the First’, and the casks in question previously held American whiskey, rum, and fine French wine. A total of 1,300 bottles were filled at 55.9% ABV.
