St. Kilian 5 Year Old That Boutique-y Whisky Company | 500ML Tasting Notes

Nose: Waves of dried fruits and herbaceous leaves are joined by vibrant cherry, rich oak, and elegant woodsmoke in the distance.

Palate: That cherry character carries through, bringing notes of cough drops, backed by vegetal malt, and a touch of woody menthol.

Finish: Drying oak and woody spices wrap things up, with those menthol notes carrying through to the end.

“In the 7th century, three monks from Ireland Christianised Franconia. In their luggage they had the “Aqua Vitae” – the water of life – and a technology for its production. Did they succeed in convincing the pagans of Christianity? In the end, they became martyrs and are still venerated today as the holy apostles of the Franks, St. Kilian, Kolonat and Totnan.”
