This is the third edition of Tamdhu Cigar Malt, created to accompany a fine hand-rolled cigar. The Speyside single malt was matured in first-fill European oak Oloroso sherry casks, barrels chosen for their robust character, one that can match the opulence of a premium cigar. It was bottled at a big 53.8% ABV without chill-filtration.

Nose: Sultanas, dates, spiced blackcurrant chutney, and apricot rollups. There’s hints of cola and tobacco underneath, as well as hearty gingerbread aromas and malty biscuits.
Palate: More heaps of dried and dark fruit are joined by nutmeg, praline, orange peel, chocolate raisins, and vanilla ice cream.
Finish: Fiery winter spices mingle with sherry-stained oak and stone fruit.
Distillery Information
It was in 1863 that the Strathspey railway first graced Speysides locality. A dependable means of travel was, at last, brought to the area and several distilleries were built as a result. Tamdhu was one of them; founded in 1896 by a group of whisky blenders, including William Grant and Sons among others, and designed by the famed, prolific Speyside distillery architect, Charles Doig of Elgin.
