Wormtub 12 Year Old Single Cask Batch #4 Single Malt Scotch Whisky | 700ML Tasting Notes

Nose: Juicy, boozy sultanas, maple and pecan pastries, and fruit and nut milk chocolate join zesty marmalade and dense, sweet baking spice.

Palate: Candied walnuts and oily malt welcome the way for notes of cured meat, raisins, and fruit-studded scones.

Finish: Savoury spices join for the finish while rich sherried oak and oily, meaty malt linger for an age.

Distillery Information

Wormtubs are big ol’ wooden tubs with a long copper coiled tube submerged in water inside of them. A classic bit of distilling kit, used to condense the vapour after as it comes out of the still, turning it into spirit. Many distilleries have got rid of them in favour of more efficient, easier to maintain condensers, but some distilleries continue to use wormtubs.
